Tailored Data Solutions has been in business since 1993. Started by Robin Moore and his brother, Kevin Moore, both experts in the computer field, TDS has moved 3 times gradually up Route 10 in Chester. We are centrally located in Chester, VA at the intersections of Route 10 & 1, about 1/4 mile from I-95. Our office/store is in the Breckenridge Shopping Center. See our map for details. While we sell hardware and software at extremely competitive prices, our focus at TDS is on business networking and utilizing our expertise to enhance the in-house expertise of small to medium size businesses. Our technicians are certified on most hardware platforms, including Compaq, HP and Toshiba. On the software side, our company is a Microsoft Certified Partner, a Novell Gold Partner and we have partner status with dozens of other major software vendors. Our networking expertise is currently three pronged. We have extensive expertise and certifications in all Windows platforms, including Windows 2000. We also have in-house technicians certified in Novell Netware. Our current server install base is about 50% Novell Netware and 50% Windows NT/2000. Our current in-house emphasis for training and developing expertise is on Unix/Linux. We have a moderate number of installed Linux Servers at customer sites, but are expanding our reach with this using SCO's Tarantella product. This product is running in-house and allows wide area access to centralized resources. At TDS, technology is our emphasis. We are regularly listed in Richmond's Top-10 Technology Businesses, a list which includes such sales giants as Circuit City and CompUSA. Our emphasis is on providing the best solution for your needs, rather than forcing our customers to conform to our "standard" solutions.
