TABA-AmCham Information

In 1987, with the vision of our late President, Mr. Turgut ÖZAL, and by the decision of the Council of Ministers, TABA-AmCham (Turkish-American Businessmen's Association) was established as a Non-Profit Organization under the public benefit statute. Over the years, it has played a key role in fostering the mutual development of Turkish-American commercial relations and investments. Moreover, since 1990, during the dissolution of the USSR, TABA-AmCham has led American investors into not only neighboring countries but also Turkish Republics, helping them access these emerging markets. In 1991, the organization earned its AmCham status and, throughout its rich history, has significantly contributed to the development of trade and investment between the two countries. Through initiatives like the Select USA Summit, it has enabled numerous Turkish investors to enter the U.S. market. The Turkish-American Businessmen’s Association-American Chamber of Commerce in Türkiye (TABA-AmCham) is a civil society organization serving the public good, established by a Council of Ministers decision in 1987 to advise and assist Turkish and American business communities on matters related to trade, economy, finance, industry, and other similar topics. The organization, also the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s representative in Türkiye, has been serving American companies operating in Türkiye and Turkish firms involved in business relations with the United States since its founding. TABA-AmCham works to strengthen bilateral relations and, in doing so, seeks to further enhance the historical friendship between Türkiye and the U.S. by contributing to the economic, political, and cultural benefits of both nations in the context of an ever-evolving world.
