TAB NZ carries the rich legacy of regulated betting in New Zealand, a tradition that dates back to 1950. As the modern steward of this long-standing institution, it honors decades of betting history while evolving to meet the demands of today’s dynamic and responsible gambling landscape. TAB New Zealand is a statutory body established under the Racing Industry Act 2020 (the Act). Through our strategic partnership with Entain NZ, we are committed to the continued investment in our three racing codes and the National Sporting Organisations (NSOs) to ensure that New Zealand stands firmly on the world’s podium. In 2023, TAB NZ entered a 25-year strategic partnering arrangement with Entain NZ, delegating the functions of betting and broadcasting. TAB NZ remains the regulatory body responsible for overseeing Entain NZ, and the partnering agreement will guarantee record funding to New Zealand racing and sports. The strategic partnership with Entain NZ also delivers New Zealand customers a range of new world-class products, services and player safety tools.
