Synchroneuron Inc Information

Synchroneuron is a privately held, clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel treatments for movement disorders and other neuropsychiatric conditions where there are pressing unmet patient needs for safe and effective therapies. These conditions include tardive dyskinesia (TD), Tourette syndrome (TS) and combat-related posttraumatic stress disorder (cPTSD). By combining innovative reformulation and repurposing technologies with a highly efficient drug development process we have been able to rapidly bring SNC-102, our lead product, into clinical development. SNC-102 is a novel sustained-release formulation of acamprosate calcium, in development for the treatment of TD, our lead indication. TD is a movement disorder caused by long-term exposure to dopamine antagonist drugs; TD affects at least 500,000 people in the United States; at least 250,000 of these patients have moderate to severe TD symptoms. There is no approved treatment for TD. In addition to studying SNC-102 in TD, we have initiated exploratory phase 2 studies in TS and cPTSD.
