"Founded in 1981 by David S. Kunkel, Symphonicity is the symphony orchestra for the largest city of Virginia, the City of Virginia Beach. Currently led by Daniel W. Boothe, Music Director & Conductor, these 200 talented musicians include doctors, scientists, religious clergy, artists, educators, dedicated amateurs and local professional musicians who dedicate more than 12,000 hours annually to offer everyone access to quality symphonic music for the love of music. With innovative multimedia masterworks at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts, multiple pops concerts, annual sing-alongs, children's concerts and dozens of small music performances, they offer something for everyone!"
