Sydney Talent Company Information

Established in 1982, Sydney Talent Company (STC) is a full-service theatrical agency representing local, national, and international talent of all ages and cultural types. Our roster includes actors, singers, voice artists, dancers, models and even adorable babies. Our actors have starred and featured in major motion pictures, TV films and series, and international and local commercials, and have graced many Australian and international theatre stages. The director of STC is Jon-Claire Lee (MEAA, AWG, ,SAG, AEA, AFTRA) A graduate of New York University (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting, and Masters of Fine Arts in Film and TV Directing), Mr. Lee came to Sydney in 1991 and has been a principal acting instructor at the Sydney Talent Company. Mr. Lee has appeared in numerous featured roles in major motion pictures (Mao's Last Dancer, Muriel's Wedding, Nim's Island, Turning April, 13 Gantry Row, The Exorcist III, and Raise the Titanic); TV dramas (GP, Singapore Sling, Heartbreak High, Joh's Jury, All Saints, Wildside, Young Lions, Sea Patrol and most recently Home and Away) and numerous TV commercials. As a Writer, Mr. Lee is a member of the Australian Writers Guild. In 2009 Mr Lee served as a judge for the NSW Premier's Literature Awards. He currently serves on the judging panel of the Australian's Writers' Guild AWGIE Awards in the play and screen categories. In Film and TV, Mr. Lee has directed the short feature (An American Affair), numerous short films (Runaway, Watching Fools, etc.) and documentaries (Oz Break, Paraguay: The Secret Land, The Rainbow Princess, etc.). He has also served as Artistic Director for numerous theatrical and festival events in Sydney, including the Festival of Nations (Darling Harbour), the Asian Photographic Exhibition/Competition (Sydney Town Hall), the World's Best Young Violinist Concert (Sydney Town Hall), and China's Top Young Musicians Concert (Sydney Opera House).
