We're a small, family-operated tech company that makes great Bible study software. In 1994, Brandon Staggs began a personal programming project to make a simple computer program fulfilling the basic material needs for Bible studythe digital equivalent of a printed Bible and a concordance. This program was called SwordSearcher. What started as a personal project quickly became a work spanning now more than two decades of expansion, improvement, and refinement. StudyLamp Software LLC was founded by Brandon to publish SwordSearcher. He still does all of the design, software development, and support. Want to know more? We've got a history of the development of SwordSearcher you can read. This is not just a tag line. We emphasize believing study to make a clear contrast with mere academic or critical study. SwordSearcher is designed to be used by people who genuinely believe the Bible is God's word. It is made for those who study it because they believe it.
