It runs Claude Code CLI as-is, on your Pro or Max plan, with no API bill and no setup. It works out of the box, and it feels like there's a real person on the other end of the chat. The difference is governance. Switchroom agents don't act on their own, they only respond to what you ask, or run the scheduled tasks you set. They do the work, then stop at anything with consequences and ask first. You get an Allow or Deny card in Telegram, and only your authenticated tap grants it, never something the agent can override. You decide exactly what each one can touch. Credentials, skills and tools are gated by access controls and policy, so an agent can't "helpfully" wire something up and do something you never asked for, the way other harnesses will. Always on.
