SweetHearts Bakery has a commitment to baking delicious health-conscious baked goods, as well as a conscious commitment to help improve conditions for children in Rwanda through collecting our profits and passing them on directly to those in need. SweetHearts Bakery proudly supports the Mustard Seed Project, a US not-for-profit corporation founded in 1993 to provide "Acts of Mercy and Mission" in East and Central Africa, as well as the non-profit Rwandan HUGS, with HUGS standing for "Help Us Get Started," symbolizing their policy of embracing Rwandans as they strive to build prosperity, opportunity, hope and community for the people of Rwanda. All profits from SweetHearts Bakery are used through the Mustard Seed Project and Rwandan HUGS to feed starving orphan children in Rwanda and help improve their basic living conditions. Our focus is all about expansion and growth to support the needs of those suffering in Rwanda. The children currently need a building to serve as safe shelter, continuous food supply and a lot of love and care. Volunteers are always welcome to come and help us out with baking and other duties that SweetHearts Bakery engages in. In fact, we welcome children who would like to come and learn what it means to help other children in another part of this world.
