Sweet Pete's Information

Sweet Pete's is an all natural sweet shoppe located in Historic Springfield in Jacksonville, Florida. We carry hundreds of all natural candies and chocolates that are all natural, many are gluten free and vegan. We make candy canes, lollipops, homemade caramel and marshmallow. Our Sea Salt Caramels have quickly become a customer favorite. We also serve all natural ice cream and our known for our awesome sundaes made with homemade hot fudge sauce and homemade whipped cream. Sweet Pete's was founded by Peter Behringer. Peter has twenty plus years of experience in the confectionery industry and a passion for providing quality product. “I have worked in the confectionery industry since the age of 14 when my mother founded Peterbrooke Chocolatier. She named the business after my sister Brooke and me. I have long had a love of making confections. Over the years, I have noticed that many confections contain high fructose corn syrup and other unnatural ingredients. Increasingly, candy is being manufactured in Mexico or China. I believe that consumers deserved better. I believe that consumers deserved pure, simple, sweets made the traditional way with real cane sugar while using natural flavors and colors. It became clear to me that there would be a need for my sweet services! A good friend and now business partner approached me about a neat old house in Springfield –a quaint up and coming Jacksonville neighborhood. Everything just clicked and Sweet Pete’s was born!”
