The year was 1557, when the famous Montgolfier family established the Canson Paper mills. Canson constantly strives to make “creating adventure” possible for everyone. For example, did you know that Canson was the inventor of the first Hot Air Balloon, which launched in 1782 and was made with Canson paper!
As a worldwide leader in the fine art market, Canson supports artists, designers, architects, illustrators and students by producing a large assortment of superior quality papers.
Today Canson is producing art paper for: drawing, tracing, pastel, watercolour, oil, acrylic, printmaking, and even digital printing.
