Svenska Teatern (the Swedish Theatre) in Helsinki is a Finnish national theatre performing in Swedish – Finland’s second official language. We bring people together through stories that entertain, inspire and challenge. With three stages and a diverse repertoire ranging from classics and contemporary drama to musicals and family productions, we create experiences for audiences of all ages and backgrounds. We believe culture is more than entertainment. Theatre creates dialogue, broadens perspectives and contributes to a more open, inclusive and vibrant society. Our doors are open to everyone, and we are committed to accessibility through multilingual subtitles in Swedish, Finnish and English, as well as audio-described performances in Swedish.
