Sustainable Business Battle Information

We are a student sustainability consultancy competition for anyone who would like to make a difference. Over a period of three weeks we provide you with lectures, workshops, discussions and working sessions to prepare you for the final battle. All these events are designed to train you in areas such as teamwork, problem solving, design thinking and pitching. Furthermore they provide the opportunity to meet and network with fellow students, companies and professionals interested or working in the field of sustainability. In the end, 10 student teams will compete for the best, most sustainable idea or solution to a case provided by one of five local companies or organisations. Who is the SBB for? The Sustainable Business Battle is for any student who is interested in sustainability in business. We strongly believe in the strength of diverse teams of young, motivated and hard-working participants. Combining a wide spread of knowledge and skills leads to multidisciplinary teams where every participant is able to provide their background perspective to create well rounded end results. There is no need for any specific prior knowledge in the field of either sustainability, business, problem solving or presenting. You will be assigned a team based on your strengths and weaknesses to ensure a level playing field for all. In the past students from both universities and higher education joined us from all over Leiden, The Hague, Delft, Amsterdam Utrecht and elsewhere.
