SurfJoy Information

SurfJoy is a creative property built around a colorful cast of characters, originally inspired by my experience moving to and living in Hawai'i as a haole. What began as a handful of playful illustrations and has grown into a flexible IP with possibilities across animation, publishing, licensing, merchandise and more. At its heart, SurfJoy strives to 1. Start Conversations through humor, curiosity, and storytelling to explore the real-world issues and challenges people in Hawai'i face 2.Cultivate Compassion by encouraging us to consider lives and experiences different from our own- and to approach one another with more empathy 3. Steward Aloha by celebrating and helping carry forward the values of connection, generosity, respect, and care that make Hawai'i so special SurfJoy is about finding joy in the waves, making room for one another and contributing to a community where everyone has a chance to thrive.
