AusNet is Victoria’s largest diversified energy network business and connects communities with reliable, affordable and sustainable energy. Its vision is to be trusted to bring the energy and build a cleaner tomorrow. With over $14 billion in assets, it operates three core regulated networks: electricity distribution, gas distribution and the state-wide electricity transmission network. Additionally, its portfolio includes contracted energy infrastructure. Under the name ‘Mondo,’ it offers energy and technical services. AusNet’s dedicated team of over 1,700 employees serves around 1.6 million customers.
We’ve ensured the smooth operation of over 11,517 km of high-voltage transmission lines and 136 substations and switching stations across NSW and the ACT, with interconnections to QLD and VIC.
Our most crucial work is leading the transition to Australia’s clean energy future. The traditional coal system that served our country for decades is nearing the end of its life, to be replaced by wind and solar generation.
We’re making the right decisions now to prepare for the opportunities and challenges ahead – a changing climate, population growth and technology innovation.
As we lead the way towards a more resilient future, we’re working closely with our customers and communities to make sure no one is left behind.
Wherever you are in NSW or the ACT, you can be confident in the reliable, affordable and sustainable electricity we transmit as we make a better power system for generations to come.
Ergon Energy supplies electricity to 746,000 customers across a vast operating area of more than one million square kilometres – around 97% of the state of Queensland – from the expanding coastal and rural population centres to remote communities in outback Queensland and the Torres Strait.
We are all about providing safe, reliable, efficient and sustainable energy solutions to support our customers and the Queensland economy.
Ergon Energy was formed in 1999 by the Queensland Government from its regional Queensland electricity distributors and their subsidiary retailer. In 2016, we merged with Energex Limited under the newly formed entity Energy Queensland.
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians and pay our respect to all Elders past, present and emerging on whose land we walk, work and live on, and their continuing connection to land, sea and community.
