Supported Ground Information

Supported Ground is a social learning enterprise dedicated to bringing families affect by type 1 diabetes together. We're looking to build connections across diverse geographies, harnessing technology to build a platform in which you can find a community of like-minded others. We've seen first hand what happens when families come together under one roof to share, commiserate, and celebrate -- it's incredible what we can do for each other. Like many other ideas, Supported Ground started as a conversation between friends. You know those perfect mornings towards the end of the summer, that start off with a brisk coolness before the heat of the day picks up? It was one of those. We were catching up over coffee after an incredibly busy few months of being absorbed in our own businesses. We'd been racking up some fulfilling successes, but we discovered that there was just something not quite... aligned. Like we were just a few inches off from dropping into something really great. It was here the question which changed everything was put into the space: "We've done so much work with kids and families, for other organizations and people. We know the impact that's there for the kids and parents. What could we do, together, that could take it to the next level?"
