Superfix formulates and manufactures a range of supplements to benefit horse health. According to veterinary science 78% of horses are suffering from some physical disability when they run in a race and 65 % are lost in the first year of training, most synthetic drugs and medications are prohibited and have pre- race withdrawal times which means many horses are not running true to form and worse are lost in the first year of training. Carol Michael (director) has spent 25 years in the racing industry with some of the UK's top trainers and among some of the worlds best horses and has a background in microbiology, pain mechanisms and physiology and has used this experience together with Bangor University's unique knowledge of plant chemistry to make a range of medicinal plant products to enhance health and performance in horses.
