The Danish Film Institute (DFI) is Denmark's national agency for film and cinema culture, operating under the Ministry of Culture.
We allocate subsidies for the development, production and distribution of Danish films as well as international co-productions. Support programmes also extend to film education and international promotion at film festivals. The DFI includes a library, a stills and posters archive and a film archive. The DFI Film House is open to the public and houses the national Cinematheque.
Since 2005 StudioOne has provided photography, retouching and image editing for several clients worldwide. And our focus during this time, has change with the market.
People used to buy their products in their local shops. But the arrival of lifestyle magazines, not to mention the TV commercials changed the market.
We were now aware, that better things could be found beyond our local environment, and magazine photography became very important, if you wanted to grow your market.
Now we have the internet, and the market has changed again.
We are bombarded with products every day, and the competition is no longer about the products, which we can buy just about everywhere. It’s about the companies behind the products.
Who they are. What they stand for. Etc.
For that reason StudioOne has spent years, specializing in visual storytelling, and in the emotional aspects in the visual environment. In other words, we have been specialising in speaking to the heart.
This means that we are working on the human side of business, with a focus on making businesses more "safe", interesting and alive to potential customers.
Customers does not base their purchase decisions solely on rational considerations. Like price, functionality etc. In fact, usually, our hearts have more to say than our minds.
Several studies show, that the relationship between reason and emotion is 29% to 71%, but despite this, 90% of companies have not changed their marketing. They still show their products or services, instead of focusing more on emotions, personal contact and the people with whom we do business.
From then till now StudioOne has delivered photography for several lifestyle magazines. (In two of these, we were the sole supplier).
In addition to magazines, we are providing corporate photography to many companies, for use on print and on the web.
And we have had the pleasure of having quite a lot of celebrities in front of the camera.
And now... we are selling emotions
