Sunyatta Information

Sunyatta features a soulful blend of piano/keyboards and female vocals. Sharon and Shelly have been creating music and leading bands for over 25 years, with a style that is described as "hip, cool, playful and inspiring". The duo met at 100 West Washington, a jazz club in Orlando. Since then, they have been together performing for audiences from all over the world. They chose the "Sunyatta" name with the release of their all original "soulful new age" CD, Secret Love, released in 1999. Sunyatta has released 4 more CDs and has performed with and opened for well-known artists such as Dave Koz, Houston Person, Larry Coryell and Allan Vache among others. Sharon and Shelly co-led the house band on the Grand Romance Riverships on the St. John's River in Sanford, Florida for 11 years. Notable Orlando venues played on a regular basis include Universal Studio's City Jazz, Downtown Disney's House of Blues and the Epcot Center, among numerous hotels, clubs, yachts, resorts and concerts. They moved to the American West in 2006 where they recorded their original "Bliss" EP. They've performed on the Regent Seven Seas 6 star cruiseline's Mariner from the Caribbean to Alaska and at top resorts, clubs and festivals in Arizona and Colorado. Sunyatta is now based in Denver, where they write, record and perform music. Sharon and Shelly are the music directors of Unity of Littleton.
