Since 1991, music fans far and wide have recognized the Crocodile as Seattle’s best live music venue. There is no other spot in the North West with such a storied and beloved past, and no other rock and roll venue that has earned its right to occupy the hearts of so many. Countless incredible bands played within the walls of Belltown’s much loved living room including: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Cheap Trick, R.E.M., Mudhoney, and Yoko Ono. Today We regularly host a vast range of up & coming local, national and international talent. Hip-hop, rock, electronic, folk, singer/songwriters, metal, punk, and avant-garde. We also serve as a venue for showcases, private events and fundraisers. We’ve been honored to host Beastie Boys, Ben Gibbard, Macklemore, Zola Jesus, Ben Harper, Alabama Shakes, Jessie Ware, Emile Sandi, Battles, First Aid Kit, Dick Dale, Balkan Beat Box, Gaslight Anthem, Bombay Bicycle Club, Talib Kweli, Gary Clark Jr., The Ting Tings, Alt-J, Cam’Ron, Walking Papers, El Ten Eleven, Toro Y Moi, G-Eazy, Wood Brothers, Death Grips, The Coup, Divine Fits, Ariel Pink, Walking Papers, Hoodie Allen, Tom Morello, Social Distortion, Hadag Nahash, Our Lady Peace, Austra, Black Joe Lewis, Destroyer, Eugene Mirman, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Minus the Bear, Lucero, Black Happy, Thee Oh Sees, Neon Indian, Explosions in the Sky, Grynch, Allen Stone, Wye Oak, The Lonely Forest, Meat Puppets, The Melvins, Doomtree, The Head and the Heart, Cults, Joy Formidable, Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Tune-Yards, Starfucker, Thee Satisfaction, Nada Surf, Hieroglyphics, Kulture Shock, and so many more incredible artists. The Back Bar has become a favorite neighborhood spot where we serve hot pizza and cold drinks seven nights a week. There is venue programming seven nights a week as well. When there’s not killer shows in the showroom, we host back bar events including intimate, sweaty local shows at a $5 cover, burlesque, happy hour bingo, DJ nights, and Tuesday night karaoke.

VERA is an all-ages volunteer-fueled music and arts venue. By engaging participants at all levels of music production and community organizing, Vera fulfills its mission to foster a participatory creative culture through popular music concerts, arts programs, experiential learning and volunteer opportunities for all ages, especially young people. Vera’s programs are always all ages, with a focus on young people ages 14 to 24. Most Vera programs are in our venue at the Seattle Center, including concerts, audio engineering training, visual art exhibits, live and studio recording, leadership training, silkscreen printing/classes, event production training, and internships. These activities are initiated and driven collaboratively by Vera’s volunteers, staff, Board of Directors and youth-led Membership. Weekly concerts promote artistic experimentation and excellence in a professional setting, leveraging industry-standard technology to showcase music and arts. Classes fuse with experiential learning opportunities and a volunteer-driven structure that engages young people in the arts, fosters inter-generational communication and gives constituents the skills necessary to pursue their creative and professional passions. The skills participants gain at Vera activate future creativity, careers and leadership within Vera and in the greater creative community. Vera engages thousands in the arts, develops the future of the music industry and supports a vibrant Seattle culture.

Third Stone and New Rising Sun are relaunching the Pacific Northwest’s iconic arts and music festival as an opportunity to highlight our regional arts and culture communities and expand the definition of ‘Artist’. We honor the essential characteristics of the festival’s rich legacy with a vision to realign Bumbershoot with Seattle’s changing growth,purpose and needs. A dual organization model allows the best of both worlds for Bumbershoot’s next 50 years with a nonprofit entity-Third Stone to engage the community and a WA Social Purpose Corp - New Rising Sun to produce the next generation of Bumbershoot, starting in 2023 with the 50th Anniversary. Third Stone is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts and education organization founded in 2022. Bumbershoot’s nonprofit entity with a mission to foster an inclusive, energized and sustainable arts economy in the PNW through youth education, festival spectacle and community driven programming. Housing Bumbershoot’s education program ‘festival as classroom’ and the main festival event. Supported by major and grassroots giving that delivers on our promise to make the festival affordable again and makes education and production costs possible. New Rising Sun is a seasoned team of concert promoters, visual arts producers who secured 100% of the rights to produce Bumbershoot through Seattle Center. Seattle Center is the steward of Bumbershoot’s licensing rights in perpetuity and home of the festival event for the next 50 years. NRS’s for profit mission will supercharge and expand the brand year round.
