Sunset Structures, Ltd. creates superior custom timber frames. Our projects range from large commercial structures in public building to single family homes. We provide both full frame structures and smaller frame structures that create "hybrid" homes. We also provide porch additions, single room additions and exterior accent elements. Satisfied clients coast to coast will tell you that Sunset Structures excels at the craft, but one of the company's most important distinctions is its exclusive access to SunDried timbers, perhaps the most significant modern technological advance in the art of timber framing. Sunset Structures founder, Greg Thaxton, was a project manager for an architectural firm and general contracting company when he learned the craft of timber framing in 1979. The form was so beguiling that in 1980 he established his own company, Sunset Structures, Ltd. Since that time, the Sunset team has completed timber frame projects in every quarter of the United States.
