The Doodle House was founded by Shannon Porter and Stephanie Martin to breed the Best of 1st, 2nd, and Multi-Generation Labradoodles. We did not begin this venture for economic gain but rather a way to help further the Labradoodle breed and to bring loving families together with great dogs. We are State Licensed & Inspected, and all of our Labradoodles are home raised and health guaranteed. There is no such thing as a "hypo-allergenic" dog in our opinion. But our carefully bred Labradoodles have been developed to have the most allergy friendly coats possible in a dog. After careful planning and genetic research we discovered the Labradoodle to be the Best of both dogs, the Labrador Retriever and the Standard Poodle. Coupled with the fabulous intelligence of the standard poodle most have minimum shedding coats to non-shedding coats along with the Labs wonderful disposition, conformation and loyal companionship. These two dogs bred together bring about the best quality you could ask in a wonderful dog, without the genetic health issues surrounding the Lab and the Poodle today. Pure breeds today have a lot of health issues and almost all Breeds bring about a problem with skin, coats, eyes, hips and more. Our Labs, Standard Poodle, and Labradoodles are health certified and have tested for no known problems. We live on 50 wonderful acres in the country with plenty of room to provide our dogs with exercise and sunshine. Our dogs are not left in kennels all day unattended. They are played with and treated like members of our family. From the moment of birth the puppies are handled by us daily and given special attention all the way up thru 8 weeks when leaving our home to yours. They are seen by our vet several times (as we have a Vet that comes to our home), wormed and given shots at six weeks of age. We require that our puppies stay with us until they are 8 weeks old. They are socialized with other dogs as well as children, cats and a barnyard full of different animals and situations. They are very socialized before they leave here. We do not have any illness or problems in our litters. Your Puppy is part of our Labradoodle family and we want to give you a lifetime of support raising your puppy and helping you all the way with your new family addition. From the time of birth thru time to come and get your puppy we will update you with weekly pictures and information. After all, this puppy is just a little person in a puppy suit. We will not sell puppies to people that believe a dog belongs in the backyard its whole life. They are to be trained to live in the house with their family. In this Hybrid dog the gender is not making any difference and both male and female neutered puppies makes no difference as far as personality. I like the little boy dogs they are great. We also do not and will not early spay or neuter a puppy, some breeders do it as 6 weeks old, we will not. The puppy needs to grow into its body and 6 weeks is way too young. We realize Animal shelters have to, but we have a choice and we give you a contract to have it done and send us the vet receipts. (Your own Vet will recommend the right time, which could be 5-8 months old). We hope that you enjoy our website and you are welcome to visit our home and make an appointment to see our dogs. We ask that if you have children you bring only your children and not the neighbors kids too, we ask that as adults only the people wanting a new puppy come to visit, unless you are out of state and your parents or a relative wants to come view our home.
