Sunrise Beach School provides a challenging, college preparatory curriculum allowing each student to fully develop his or her potential in Academics, Christian Leadership, Citizenship, Moral Character, and Spiritual Growth. Sunrise Beach School (SBS) and Sunrise Beach High School (SBHS) are non-denominational Christian, state-approved, accredited, non-profit 501(c) 3, college-prep., private schools located at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. Founded in 1990 by the school administrator, Mrs. Cox, SBS provides both a Washington State Approved Day School Program and an Extension Program. In addition to providing Early Childhood-12th grade classes, SBS offers a variety of other educational opportunities. Sunrise Beach School's Day School Program offers a full time dynamic, classical Christian learning environment with an approximately 8/1 student/teacher ratio. Students receive individualized instruction within the enriched, college preparatory classrooms enhanced with subject matter immersion hands-on manipulatives, and Advanced Placement courses and on-campus college courses all taught by highly qualified, caring, instructors.
