At SunPleaser we renovate (older) houses and gardens in order to renew and/or restore them. Often this manual work involves restoring woodwork (windows/doors/floors, ceilings, etc.) and walls (plastering/painting, etc.). Occasionally adjusting/applying energy-saving technical installations is included. Gardens are often re-designed for all seasons with new terraces, grass, plants & flowers, solar lighting & modulair fountains, and greenhouses. If necessary we also take care of pets, we love them <3. The work is performed ‘unconditionally’ so written agreements on planning and compensation do not necessarily have to be made. Mostly the activities are done in transparent communication, trust and clear agreement. There is mutual understanding on flexibility and flow while planning activities. We like to make progress however rather strive for high quality results than rush work with less quality. Home Owners provide the materials/tools but are not obligated to pay anything in salary: They are however appreciated to offer donations or resources that they see fit e.g. provide meals & housing and / or become a sponsor on Patreon. This way of transacting is based on the Give & Ask Economy* and Open Access Economy models. At SunPleaser we use a regenerative awareness model (rather than the ‘business as usual’ profit model) where 33% of the donations received flow back to other like-minded people & projects. We co-create the new normal together). * The difference with e.g. Workaway is that these are conditional agreements, where we practice on the basis of unconditional agreements.
