SundhedsDoktor provides high-end health services to companies and organisations. The company is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, with regional offices in Aarhus and Odense. Among the customers are companies like Novo Nordisk, Dong Energy, Ikea, HP, and Nykredit. SundhedsDoktor is looking after the health and well-being of more than 150.000 employees. The company employs more than 125 health professionals nationwide (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists etc). The company was established in 2006 by the founders of the successful e-health portal NetDoctor.com, Medical Doctor Carl J. Brandt and journalist Rune Bech, in cooperation with health coach Kristoffer From. Later American fitness guru Chris MacDonald joined as the high-profile face of the company. In 2009 SundhedsDoktor (in cooperation with Dansk Erhverv and with backing from the Danish minister of health) established a prestigious annual award in Denmark to employers doing something special for the health and well-being of their employees, Danmarks Sundeste Virksomhed (Denmark's Healthiest Workplace).
