A founding partner of BHK Capital, Mike Braren is a graduate of Citadel. Mike has been working in the real estate business since 1980. Operating as BHK Capital's President and CEO, Mike has Spearheaded more than 155 projects, including the development of 52 residential subdivisions consisting of 15,000 lots. Mike has executed the procurement of numerous commercial and warehouse developments alongside Stokes and Company, one of the largest and well-known real estate development companies in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. A graduate of Citadel, James Hissam is serving as BHK Capital as the Vice President of Land Acquisition and Development. Prior to Joining BHK Capital, Jim served as an active duty officer in the army for five years. Currently, he is a Major in the National Guard. Upon leaving active duty, Jim joined KB Home where he successfully went from managing a scattered lot acquisition program to managing full-scale land acquisition and development. After leaving KB Home, Jim formed his own company to acquire and cultivate residential properties. When Jim finally joined BHK Capital he had already developed 20 subdivisions in northeast Florida Serving as Chief Financial Officer for BHK Capital, Robert Kennelly earned a law degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Emory University's School of Law, Goizueta Business School, and Emory College. He is a licensed CPA and an active member of the State Bar of Georgia. Following graduation, Robert joined KPMG working as a staff accountant. Before leaving in 1996, he made his way up to tax partner. Afterward, he went into business with a client in the real estate residential development industry.
