Eagle County School District is an innovative district of 18 schools serving 6500 students in the Vail Valley. We have 8 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, 3 high schools, plus 1 K-8 school, a charter academy, and a 5th through 12th ski and snowboard academy. The Vail School District, located southeast of Tucson, opened in 1903 as a one-room schoolhouse. It has won countless awards and been highlighted across the country, as well as internationally, for its outstanding educators and programs. Further, every school that is eligible for the Arizona Education Foundation’s A+ Distinction has been awarded the prestigious honor. The District is opening its 23rd school in July 2025. Along with its traditional schools, Vail has a blended learning option (a blend of online and in-person), Vail Virtual Learning (online), and an online homeschool partnership. And, each of Vail’s high schools offers unique opportunities for students. More than 15,000 students are currently enrolled in grades K-12.
