Summit Care is a healthcare consulting company that was founded in February of 1996 by Joe D. Mitchell and C. Guy Farmer. Based in Tallahassee, Florida, Summit Care specializes in skilled nursing and assisted living care. Summit Care has consultants that visit each of the healthcare facilities and provides assistance in identifying issues and developing plans of action. Each of our consultants have extensive experience in the various fields they work in. We have consultants for the following specialties: clinical services, clinical reimbursement, business office operations, billing, information technology, personnel management, physical plant management, marketing, purchasing, and therapy services. Our emphasis is on education and training, offered both at regional offsite meetings and during facility visits. In addition to regional consultants we have a home office staff that provide accounts payable, cash flow management, payroll processing, technical support, and financial reporting. Also Summit Care is part of a network of companies that offer therapy services, billing services and account services.
