Summerton Edelson, is a Port Elizabeth-based company, having been established in 1998, when Dave Summerton and Ivan Edelson joined forces to establish Summerton Edelson Commercial cc. Over the years, the staff complement of the Company grew steadily employing, mentoring and training several "valuers in training", since its inception. To date, the Company consists of three Professional Valuers and a Professional Associate Valuer, all of whom have had considerable experience in various aspects of Property Valuation. Collectively the Company is able to offer a comprehensive range of valuation services, including the valuation of residential property, commercial and industrial property, development and feasibility studies, agricultural properties, rental determinations, municipal valuations, expropriation valuations, liquidation valuations and the appraisal of immovable and movable assets for estate duty purposes. Over 100 years combined experience of professional valuers, in all facets of the property industry, coupled with ongoing continuing professional development, ensures the most up-to-date and informed service to our valued clients. In addition to the above, the Company has two capable auctioneers, who are able to conduct the sale of both movable and immovable property. Some of the auctioneering highlights, include the sale of two beachfront apartment blocks for R 52 million in 2008, yachts, gliders, bookmaker's writes, commercial property and residential homes. The Auctioneering Division plays an active role in the community, regularly offering their services, "free of charge" to various charities, community organisations and Churches.
