SUMMERBEE Information

Summerbee Products was started in 1991 by Duncan Summers, who had spent the previous 25 years at a high level in the pharmaceutical industry. Initially Summerbee focused on honey bee products and food supplements but soon branched out into essential oils, other products associated with essential oils, and a range of health products. Over the years Summerbee has supplied a wide range of pharmacies and health shops, practitioners such as podiatrists and reflexologists, and has always supplied direct to consumers, both by mail order and latterly concentrating heavily on the internet. Some of these products became very successful, such as sea buckthorn cream and lemon eucalyptus skin spray, both of which featured highly on several websites including amazon and e-bay, as well as Summerbee.co.uk Duncan retired in 2017 and his son, Ken, has now taken over the reins running Summerbee products. After graduating in architecture, Ken had a successful career in distribution before taking up his own business in the Orkney some years ago which is where he is based now. He continues to use exactly the same formulations that his father developed providing the same high quality products and excellent customer service that Summerbee is known for. Summerbee will continue to provide services to health professionals such as podiatrists, reflexologists, and aromatherapists.
