The Arc is the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. With approximately 140,000 members affiliated through over 600 state and local chapters across the nation, we are on the front lines to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families have the support and services they need to be fully engaged in their communities. Community Options, Inc. is a national nonprofit organization that develops innovative housing and employment opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. Since 1989, we have moved people with disabilities from segregated institutions across the country into community-based homes where they can fully participate in their communities and experience a greatly improved quality of life. We have designed and implemented the most progressive employment options giving people with disabilities a choice about the type of work they do and where they do it. We offer people with disabilities real work for real pay. Community Options supports over 6,000 people with disabilities and families across twelve states: Arizona, Iowa, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.
