Suitcase Theatre was originally formed 11 years ago to mount a production of 'We'll keep a Welcome' in 2008, which was performed as part of the Liverpool Capital of Culture (with the play revolving around wartime refugees from Liverpool) and was also taken on a tour around North Wales from Caernarfon to Wrexham. The company continued to perform thereafter and we have undertaken at least one major production in the Emlyn Williams Theatre at Theatre Clwyd (Mold) in almost every year since to much success, further supplemented by an array of other dramatic events dotted throughout each calendar year. At Suitcase Theatre we often produce plays with local or topical themes; our maiden play was about wartime refugees from Liverpool living in North Wales and subsequently, we have performed plays involving the Cholera outbreak in Denbigh, the WWII Prisoner of War camp at Ruthin and we were also involved in last CCTA one-act play festival where we performed David Mamet's The Duck Variations. Suitcase has a diverse and varied membership, that aims to work with all areas of the community interested in amateur dramatics, from retired & up and coming professionals to those just performing as a hobby.
