Both country kids from Missouri, Larry and Brenda Potterfield turned their passion for shooting sports into a career by opening a small gun shop in 1977 that would eventually become MidwayUSA. MidwayUSA was also a recipient of the Missouri Quality Award from the Excellence in Missouri Foundation in 2015, an award also received in 2008. MidwayUSA has deployed both Lean and Six Sigma practices internally and has received ISO Registration, receiving ISO 9001:2000 in 2008 and 9001:2008 in 2009, 2011 and 2014.

The history of Palmetto State Armory is simple - veteran Jamin McCallum returned from deployment with the same passion and demand for excellence that was instilled in him through the military. He soon noticed that there did not seem to be a customer friendly company available for the everyday gun enthusiast. Starting as just an ammunition and magazine website, PSA has grown into a full service company represented by the website, multiple retail locations, and its own personalized firearms brand.
