Your City. Only Sweeter. Sugar is a tech start-up based in Singapore. Our business revolves around an urban discovery app that provides users with incentives to try out hidden gems and noteworthy lifestyle spots in their local area - especially independent cafes, restaurants, bars and local arts/music events. We leverage some of the hottest trends in tech - including gamification, location-based services and big data - to deliver a unique user experience that no other discovery app or city guide has been able to offer. By combining user experience with a new and creative business model, we have found a way to truly democratise advertising. The result of this is game changing for both merchants and users! Founded in Singapore by a multinational team of entrepreneurs with backgrounds in VC, finance, law and consulting, we started the company in December 2013 and launched the app to the public in April 2014. We will soon be expanding into other cities in the region.
