At Emory University, students craft brilliant essays that have the potential to reshape entire fields of thought; yet they fade into obscurity, traveling no further than a professor’s desk. The team at Suddenly saw this as an opportunity to bring Emory’s scholarship to the wider world. Brilliant works are meant to be read, not condemned to vanish after a semester. Our publication aims to showcase outstanding essays written by undergraduate and graduate students during their time at Emory. Partnering with the Institute for the Liberal Arts and the Russian, Eastern and European, & Eurasian Studies Program, our experienced editors, accomplished professors, and motivated students will strive to inspire, challenge, and reshape the academic culture at Emory.
