Over the last 8 years, even before the implementation of Senate Bill 18-167, Tom Richardson LLC has aimed to fill a need for engineering utility locates in Colorado. Because there is no immediate concern for damage, many locate companies respond to 811 engineering locate requests as "clear", some don't reply at all. We've developed methods and contacts to ensure you can account for all utility members up to Quality Level B in a timely manor for your civil engineering and design needs. We're always searching for new value to provide the clients we serve: In 2018 we explored aerial mapping. We now have 2 FAA certified drone pilots on staff who can work with your surveyors to provide point clouds of your utility locate, or even just fly the job and provide you with the pictures for processing on your end. In 2020 we expanded into potholing to provided Quality Level A utility locates, as well as core drilling and rangepoint/monument installation. Beginning 1/1/2021, we now offer UNCC ticket response services. If you're in the transition from Tier 2 Member to Tier 1, ask us how we can make the shift easier! With even more changes around the corner such as CDOT Rule 2 CCR 601-18, it seems there's always something new to learn.
