Boston Fashion Week is a year-long volunteer program that results in a week of special events and fashion shows every fall since 1995. There is no fee to participate in Boston Fashion Week, but designers and event producers are fully responsible for every aspect of their event/show. Out of respect for the generosity of the many local professionals who contribute their time, resources and talent who make this service available to established designers and new faces alike, anyone involved in Boston Fashion Week is expected to work within established guidelines. Boston Fashion Week manages the official online schedule, maintains communication channels throughout the year and partners with businesses, organizations and media outlets to promote the week as a whole in an effort to raise the visibility and awareness of the vibrant local fashion community of professionals. Boston Fashion Week also makes every effort to share information, advice and resources when they are available. This of course is subject to the generosity and availability of leaders and/or patrons in any given year. Boston Fashion Week does not produce fashion shows, secure sponsors, or provide models, venues, lighting, staging, etc. for individual designers.
