Style Information

My Style Camp is a year round program that encourages kids from grades first and up to discover their own creativity through costume and fashion design. Stacey is a graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU after which she continued her education at FIT. Some of her accomplishments include designing for and touring the US and Asia with Alvin Ailey American Dance theater and Mikhail Baryshnikov's White Oak Dance Company. In addition, she has assisted on numerous Broadway Shows. Her film experience includes Sundance winners such as, Tadpole (Sigourney Weaver, John Ritter Bebe Neuwith), Camp, American Astronaut and Technical Writer. Her extraordinary talent was discovered while teaching art when she was recruited by Jason Rabin the owner of Kids Headquarters New York, a children's design and manufacturing company. She went on to work as a Senior designer for Jessica Simpson Girls as well as Tommy Hilfiger Girls. Bridging her professional career over 2 decades has come full circle. Stacey is currently working with a young pop star who is also a positive role model for tweens. They will be working together on her Pop Star design session and will be selecting a design from the class. Stacey will help execute the design with her student at a real design studio working with pattern makers and seamstresses. The creation of My Style Camp fulfills her mission to create a place where children can come to get messy, learn to think with the right side of the brain, and find their own style. Through Stacey's step by step process emphasis will be placed on concepts and ideas that lead to creative thinking. Stacey applies these principles in her own design process and life daily. Classes take place at Michaels Arts and Crafts, located at 1350 Northern Blvd. Manhasset NY.
