We're a brand new business set up to respond to the Coronavirus in 2020 - and we're doing things a little differently. We've created a website called 'StuffToDoAtHome.com'. It's a place where you can go to find ideas for 'stuff to do', and add your own suggestions. A social network for ideas, if you like. When we set up the company in March 2020, we based it on 3 principles: 1) Democratisation of the web - We've made it so anyone can add an idea to our website, even if they don't use the internet. If someone can't manage our simple webform, then our in-house team of writers and editors will interview them over the phone and add the idea to the website on their behalf. 2) A Different Way to Work - We are an entirely flexible organisation who ignore the convention of Mon-Fri / 9-5, and whose team works entirely remotely from home. Everyone job shares (even the CEO), so no-one gets burned out. And we're able to provide job opportunities for people who find it hard to fit into traditional businesses - mums, students, the disabled, people with mental health challenges. We are entirely Agile from the inside out, and completely transparent, publishing all our business decisions on the website. 3. Fair Share of Revenues - We have great ambitions and are aiming to build a global brand. We expect the website to be monetised later this year (for example via ad revenues and affiliate marketing), when we secure funding. That means we could bring in a lot of revenues one day. Leigh Brownlee, co-CEO, and the other directors, have pledged to only take fair, basic salaries from the business, and to re-distribute profits (after R&D is budgeted for) in the following way: 10% contingency fund 30% investment in business growth 30% returned to our teams and community via revenue shares 30% given to social and charitable endeavours We are currently seeking funding, grants, and donations, as well as volunteers and advisers, to move into the next round of development.
