StudyMyCity Information

Public-Private-Academic “big data” analytics program designed to understand the business ecosystem of cities from a peer-to-peer perspective, and leverage the economic forces that already exist within a city to create more business. StudyMyCity is a free program that maps the local business-to-business ecosystem to identify how businesses are connected to each other (through similar work at common clients and projects) and who can share information to help each other with their work. This provides a very interesting view of "how the city works” and can be used in a variety of ways for planning and outreach initiatives. There are a lot of people in a city that can help each other, but simply don’t know who to connect with. StudyMyCity can solve this problem by introducing business people to others who work on the same things and can help each other. StudyMyCity also has a university student/research component that gives students an incredible opportunity to learn valuable post-college skills while seeing the immediate, direct impact that their work has on real business activity. We offer a range of mentor-led student projects that combine economics, data and network analytics, marketing, computer science and government planning that are immediately valuable to the local business community and build skills that are highly demanded in today's job market
