Study Association IK Information

About IK: Study Association IK is the study association of Arts, Culture and Media and Arts History at the University of Groningen. Study Association IK is run by a board of five members and twelve different committees, consisting of four to six members. The members of Study Association IK can be both international or Dutch students. IK is there for all students of the Arts, Culture and Media and Arts History programmes in Groningen. IK offers these students the opportunity to participate, both actively and passively, in different kinds of activities. Our goal is to organize study related and non-study related activities, to inform members about matters concerning the study, future career prospects, tracks to follow after their studies and to increase personal contact among IK-members as well as developing their practical experience. IK aims for this by organizing among others, a yearly arts conference, an excursion abroad, a career day, monthly drinks and several parties throughout the year. Next to this, Study Association IK holds close ties to the University, many other study associations and several partners and sponsors in Groningen.
