studio.talk Information

Established in 2016, studio.talk is a collaborative design practice engaging in the services of architecture, interior and furniture design based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The studio is co-founded by 5 individuals from diverse creative backgrounds who met whilst working at an architecture studio in Jakarta, Indonesia. With a growing portfolio of residential, multi-residential, commercial, retail and hospitality concepts in Jakarta and regionally, studio.talk advocates the belief that the best projects are those that are born out of dialogues and the sharing of ideas between the client and the designers to work out the best solution around the multitude of constraints of each project. We believe in the creation of sensitive and thoughtful spaces that are equally as contextual and imaginative as they are functional with a special importance placed in maintaining a user-focused sensibility and practicality throughout the design. Sometimes, we like to break the rule a little to find new and clever ways of approaching our design; innovative use of materiality and rethinking of existing typologies in a fresher perspective. We believe that a well considered choice of materiality and the creation of warm inviting spaces are paramount in elevating the experiential quality of a particular place. In all our projects, we strive to work together with all of our clients to bring out and maximise the best qualities within the given constraints, with an aim to create a more inspiring built environment.
