Studio Lotus is multi-disciplinary design practice founded in 2002—23 years on, it is one of the most path-breaking architectural firms in India, with Ambrish Arora, Ankur Choksi, Asha Sairam and Harsh Vardhan at the helm as Principals. Fostered with a culture of learning and intra-preneurship, the work of the practice is grounded on the principles of Conscious Design, an approach that celebrates local resources, cultural influences, an inclusive process and a keen attention to detail. Studio Lotus’ team of over 100 people combines distinct strengths over multiple domains to shape built work that is at the cutting edge of design thinking—looking at sustainability through the multiple lenses of cultural, social and environmental impact. Studio Lotus’s portfolio has been Internationally recognized—winning, among others: inclusion in Archello’s list of the World’s Top 100 Architectural Firms, 2024, The PLAN Award for Retail, World Holiday Building of the year at the World Architecture Festival, the Creative Re-Use category at INSIDE Awards, the DOMUS Italia Award for Restoration and Adaptive Reuse, the Grand Jury Prize at the Design for Asia Award, the Prix Versailles Special Prize for Restaurant Interiors, making India’s AD 100 list for 12 consecutive years, and a nomination in the Aga Khan Awards cycle 2013.
