Studio JYO Information

Studio JYO is a Bay Area residential interior design studio led by principal Joo Y. Oh. We design homes with architectural rigor and restraint, where every material, proportion, and detail is considered in service of how a space is actually lived in. Our work begins with the architecture. We look at how light moves through a room, how a plan wants to flow, and how a material will wear over time. From there we build interiors that feel calm and intentional, personal to the people who live in them rather than to any single trend. We work closely with architects, builders, artisans, and photographers across the Bay Area and beyond, bringing the same care to a single room as to a full new-construction home. The result is design that holds up quietly over the years.
