Studio Franchetti Information

Studio Franchetti is a multidisciplinary engineering company specialising in structural, infrastructural, transport and environmental design. Founded in June 2013, with the merging of three separate engineering companies, Studio Franchetti continues activities which were begun in 1979 by Dorino Franchetti and represents a natural evolution in terms of management and organization. In the field of structural engineering in particular, Studio Franchetti has gained a wide range of experience developing interventions relating to the adjustment or improvement of existing structures, including monumental structures such as bridges, civil buildings and industrial plants dealing with a range of materials including reinforced concrete, steel, timber and masonry. Over the last ten years, the studio has delivered high quality designs and analyses for over 3000 bridges in Italy alone. Appreciating the importance of building heritage, the firm has offered structural stabilisation solutions to help conserve many important historical buildings. The studio's transport engineering section offers new design solutions for the resize, re-configuration and quantitative assessment of existing road networks and traffic flows on a small to large scale. In the field of environmental engineering, the studio is concerned with environmental impact assessment procedures for various types of activities (industrial and commercial). The company currently has projects in South America, particularly in Brazil, and is involved in the preparatory works for the next World Cup (2014) and the Olympic Games (2016) with particular reference to the structural rehabilitation of existing buildings and monuments, including the study and adaptation of infrastructure networks. Studio Franchetti is headquartered in Arzignano Italy, and has satelite offices located in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) and China (Hong Kong).
