The story of Italian design is also a little history of the Boffi family. Under the wise direction of the three ADs Luigi Massoni, Antonio Citterio and Piero Lissoni, many designers participated thanks to their different background and knowledge.
Built in over 50 years of work, the prestige and credibility of the brand take off since 1980, helped by the communicative efficacy of sophisticated photographic catalogs and technical manual. The promotion of events from creative and cultural worlds reinforces Boffi's identity: an example, the pioneering trend of leaving the fair during the Salone del Mobile in Milan to choose representative locations in the city. It is the beginning of a new phase which finds energy and inspiration in the artistic direction of Piero Lissoni.
We operate in United States with retail network of 4 trade showrooms (SoHo, Chicago, Georgetown, Los Angeles) and 3 studios (San Francisco, Miami and Dever opening soon).
Each showroom has a team of in-house, highly skilled architects who offer standardized or customized solutions for a single residential project or large scale development projects. Each project manager works hand in hand with the architect from site measurements through the entire design process till the final installation. Also, everything is made in the manufacturing facility close to Milan to allow the best quality control.
For multi-unit developments, our New York City based multi-unit division, works closely from beginning to end of the project with developers, architects, designers and real estate marketing agencies, from design to project management and installation.
We partner with the most renown architects such as Zaha Hadid for the kitchens and bathrooms of 520 W 28th St in NYC; Richard Meier for the Surf Club in Miami; Selldorf Architects for 42 Crosby, NYC as well as the Ritz Carlton Residences in Miami. In the West Coast we are working on high rises in Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco.
