Studio 309 Information

STUDIO 309 is located in Liverpool New York, which is just outside of Syracuse, in the heart of New York State. The illustration and design samples on this site represent completed work for magazines, ad agencies, design firms and individual clients. STUDIO 309's focus is on editorial illustration and infographics where a strong concept is important. Work for long-distance clients is done quickly and effectively through faxes and email. Finished digital artwork is routinely sent to the client via modem, or by overnight courier on disk. Work in traditional media can be sent by courier, or scanned and provided as high-resolution files on disk. For illustration projects: full-color Soft-Proofing is available on this server through a confidential link. For design & layout soft-proofing: full-color Adobe Acrobat pdf files can be attached to email or provided on disk. Of course, paper proofs can also be provided. Owner Jerry Russell is a graduate of Cicero High School's Class of 1977 and a 1983 graduate of Syracuse University's School of Visual and Performing Arts. STUDIO 309 was established in 1991 after several years of freelancing in the graphics industry. Jerry spent 3 years as a designer/illustrator and Art Director for a local Ad agency and taught Graphic Design and Desktop Publishing for 5 years at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse. Jerry's past experience also includes 1 year as a storyboard artist and animator for Imtek Productions, which produced computer generated 3D animations and rotoscoped video capture for broadcast, corporate training and military weapons visualization.
