Rick is a highly experienced, award winning Art Director with marketing expertise utilizing video, print media, & 3-D design. Rick is a leader in the Arts community and has served as: President, Charlotte Society of Communicating Arts, Board member for Broadcast Design Association with direct responsibility for recruiting vendors for the annual conference. Selected by the Broadcast Design Association to serve as judge for the annual design awards competition in New York. Before starting Studio 2210, Rick was the Art Director for WBTV, a CBS affiliate in Charlotte, NC. WBTV has an annual revenue budget of $12 million. His responsibilities included: Manage a staff of 6 designers and free-lance personnel in design work and copy for television, internet, newspaper, direct mail, magazine and outdoor. Purchase and direct photography, illustration, and animation for dissemination to marketplace. He help establish a new publishing division for WBTV to produce Carolina Panthers and Carolina Blue newspapers as a new revenue center. Provided training for creative staff in computer software applications for video and print.
