In 1950, STUDENT INSURANCE created a milestone by establishing a highly acclaimed and greatly needed accident insurance program for student athletes. We became the first agency in the state of California devoted exclusively to insuring schools and students of all ages. We are truly proud of our accomplishments and success in serving the insurance needs of students throughout the country. STUDENT INSURANCE is a family owned and operated business; everyone who works in our office is a long-standing employee, loyal, solicitous and devoted to the needs of our schools and students. Since our humble beginnings more than sixty years ago, we have grown to become one of the largest insurers of primary and secondary schools in California and across the United States. The unrelenting focus of our staff on every facet of customer service is demonstrated repeatedly by unsurpassed levels of commitment, communication, concern and coverage that we provide our clients and their students. STUDENT INSURANCE shares sponsorships and partnerships with several associations related to K-12, community, junior, and technical colleges. We also have the distinction of being the only authorized insurance provider for the Community College League of California (CCLC), the organization that represents all the community colleges in the State. In California alone, we insure most of the community colleges with a student population in excess of two and one-half million. We also are very proud of our professional relationship and corporate sponsorship with ACBO, CCBO, NAFSA, and CASBO. As health care fees began to rise at an alarming rate, the community colleges in California expressed a need to manage and control the costs of student and athletic insurance programs more effectively.
