Student Connections (SC) is an Industry Canada initiative funded through the federal government's Youth Employment Strategy. Established in 1996, SC delivers on-site customized Internet and computer training and e-business services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Canada. SC also offers successful Internet and computer training programs for Canadian seniors. To deliver these training and consultation services, SC hires qualified post-secondary students as Student Business Advisors and trainers. SC has delivered technology training to 200,000 Canadian businesses and seniors, and employed more than 6,400 students. Operating out of 14 colleges and universities across Canada, SC works with the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC) to access resources that reside within Canadian business, academic institutions and youth.
